44P50-5L GrassFlap® brand chute blocker with 5L Pedal

This works so well I am ashamed I waited so long to convince myself to get one!

I put a grass flap on my 2019 Toro 50” with the iron forged deck. It works great and it makes my favorite workhorse even better. The smooth pedal action to open and close the flap is genius.

The components are heavy duty and high quality. The product works well and has a nice look. I would give it a 5 star except in my case it required some modification and a little fabrication. My mower deck is curved at the rear and required bending blocker plate and flap bracket. I also had to modify the deflector because of the curvature. David answered my questions quickly and I sm satisfied with the upgrade.

Product was pretty easy to install. I haven't cut with it yet but when I do I will let you know how it works.

Grass Flap is a nice addition to any mower. It makes mowing more efficient because you can manage where your clippings will go instead of having to make compromises with your track across the yard. I installed it on a Toro Zero Turn mower and Dave was kind enough to send me the mounting plate I needed when I miss read the ordering instructions. The installation instructions are good and online videos are helpful. It was my first one so it took me about 3 hours to install and would go much faster if I ever need to buy another. Foot pedal operation is perfect for a zero-turn mower.

Love the grass flap. Should be priced into every mower made from now till the grass stops growing. Was having a bad time with grass shooting into flower beds. But, not no more. Those same yards I just did this week and the difference is night and day. Such a better option than a mulch kit. Not all my jobs can be mulched and this helps save time. Install was straight forward if you follow the instructions and watch the video. Had some issues with adjusting the flap. Watched the video and found the sweet spot and boom no more issue. Thanks for a well thought out and straight forward product. I look forward to putting one on my stand on mower just as soon as worldlawn restocks my distributor.

I had to make some alterations to get it installed it opens and closes with the pedal but I can't get it to stay open unless I keep my foot on it all the time.

Install was not all that bad. Though patience helps a lot! I have only cut once since installing it and it works great. One tip for new users, slow down in thicker growth and it wont clump in my experience.

Installed Grass Flap on my 2019 Toro MyRide Timecutter HD 60" deck. Had to drill 2 holes in the deck but used c-clamps to hold flap and blocker plate securely in place to assure hole locations are in the correct place before drilling the holes. Mounting went well.
The flap and foot pedal mechanisms work amazingly well together via the cable and I can appreciate the engineering and tooling that went into producing them. Thanks for making this available.

hi grass flap works well took a while to set it up to open and close. had to do some drilling witch i didnt think i was going to have to do.
video was a good help and instructions are well detailed.

I absolutely love my GrassFlap! It's hands down one of the best upgrades I've added to my mower. Was apprehensive as I didn't want to drill holes into my deck, but that worry was gone after the first use. Absolutely love the Grassflap. Put it on my 2020 Toro Titan and it works flawlessly. No more being strategic about the direction I now to keep clippings out of flowerbeds. Install was simple - put it on one evening after dinner. A++ product.

I've been looking at this product and similar for some time, but I've been hesitant because I wasn't sure of the value of it. I finally decided I was tired of grass clipping in my mulch so I ordered one. It arrived in a timely manner and installation took me a few hours (mostly due to needing to sharpen my drill bit). The steel it it is very thick and durable looking. The installation instructions were pretty good. I didn't watch the videos until afterwards, just to verify I had the cable adjusted properly. I have only used it just a bit to test, but so far, it works great! I think it will turn out to be a good investment.

Excellent. This is my second grass flap so it took less time to install. My first one replaced a grass catcher and I loved it so naturally replaced it with another one on my new zero turn mower.

Dave was very friendly, took plenty of time to help me work out adjusting my GrassFlap, and there was no doubt he knew the product! It is so rare today to get this kind of service.

This is exactly what I wanted for my Toro Timecutter HD miwer. Installation was fairly easy with the instructions provided. Had to make a couple of modifications to the cable routing, but now I have it set up the way I want and it works great!

Some hardware worked loose which caused the flap to bind up and not shut properly. Has been operating ok. Just hope that cable does.

Had questions since I couldn't find my model mower, emailed and they got back to me same day. Product appears to be made very well. Works great, any questions with install don't hesitate to email, they will respond.

David responded to my email quickly and gave me the correct part number for my Exmark Radius E 44”. Installation instructions could be better, but I absolutely love the Grass Flap. I believe it to be the best OCDC on the market currently. Game changer!

Delivery of the grassflap was couple days ahead of schedule. It only took a couple hours to install. The only thing I would change about the install on my mower is that the blocker used the factory tabs for mounting, just so I didn't have to drill holes in deck.
I started researching chute blockers two years ago and I couldn't seem to commit at the time but knowing what I know now should have bought the grassflap then. Having the ability to control the chute and still have both hands on the steering levers, I mow professionally and the addition of the grassflap to my mower has changed the way I mow.
If you're not using a grassflap you're using the wrong one.
My next mower will have a grassflap on it even if there is a factory chute block option.

Works well on my Hustler X-One

This is a good product and works great, but I think it was expensive for what it is.

We have not yet used the Grass Flap, because it is winter in Michigan.

David asked for pictures and other mower specifics before choosing the correct product. He also answers his phone personally and gives you the time you need with your questions..
I'm fairly mechanically adept and it took me about 3 hours to install but it worked as advertised. I've only used it for 5-6 hours but it really works well. No weed seeds in the yard beds now.
I need to mention that I purchased this following a slow motion train wreck with an aftermarket grass catcher. Too expensive, too complicated, too easily damaged, and way too much time spent with adjustments. I like the GrassFlap much better in each category..

Awesome!! I emailed info on the mower I had and received response quickly. Item was shipped and deliver quickly. The cute took me longer then I thought to install, but that was my fault. The chute works great!!! I like the foot pedal control to open and close the chute, much easier than a hand controlled one, for my zero turn. I should have bought this long ago.
