Cable 50" includes cable, removable clevis and clevis pins. Length measured from fitting end to fitting end, do not include free cable when measuring.
PRO TIP: Most stand-on and walk-behind mowers use the 10-99-07 - 70" cable.
HOW TO DETERMINE WHAT LENGTH CABLE YOU NEED
There are three ways to determine your cable length.
Option 1:
Locate your GrassFlap® Part #.
The last two digits before the first dash represent the cable length.
For example:
Option 2:
Refer to the part # listed on the cable.
50 inch – GF2-04-100-05 or GF2-04-100-18
70 inch – GF2-04-100-06 or GF2-04-100-17
Option 3:
Measure your mower's current cable length from fitting-to-fitting.
I first asked them what cable I needed based on my mower which is a Z970r John Deere. They told me based on my deck size of 60” I need a 50” cable which I ordered. I'm really glad it came with all the insulation hardware like the bushing the pin and the Clevis. The instructions to install were fantastic. Several explanations on how to mount it. I didn't see much on how to adjust it so it opens and closes correctly. But honestly it took 5 min of fiddling with it to figure it out, it's pretty common sense. When the deck is at mowing height the cable stays away from the pulleys so I'm happy.
Works good. Let the cable be just a little loose makes the grass flap easier to operate.
Great organization to deal with. We have Grass Flaps installed on two Hustler 72" Hyperdrive units. To extend the life of the cable we run the cable inside a 1/2 x 3/8 piece of vinyl tubing. It significantly improves the strength of the cable at the fitting ends.
Cable arrived quickly. The replacement cable is thicker and better quality than the original. Pleased with the replacement.

I'm am very pleased with my grass flapper, I've had it for 4 yrs and just had to call and order a new cable for it. I ordered a new and in a few days it was here and back on mower. Thanks you all rock!!!
I absolutely LOVE this grass flap. Installation was simple and easy. This Grass Flap allows you to attach a bagger whereas the Exmark OCD grass flap does not. This grass flap flips a complete 180 degrees to avoid grass clumps. I highly recommend this flap to anyone working around windows, landscape beds, and roads and anywhere else where you don't want to take the chance of blowing grass on something or blowing a window out. I have over 120 hrs of cutting on this flap so far this year and my only problem was a incorrectly installed cable that broke. This flap has even held up from a few hard hits off of telephone poles and signs. Customer service is top notch and I received 5 Star help. Thanks again!

Ive had my Grass Flap installed on my mower for over 6 years and rhe cable just failed. Thats the only issue ive had with it. Id reccomend this product to anyone, especially those operating a lawncare business. Pricier than other options, but a far superior product.

First cable lasted 5 years. Gets used 5 days a week and have no clue how many times it's held partially open with the foot pedal. If the mower has 1600hrs someone can do the math. It's alotttt!

I have an older Grass Flap that I've had no issues with since I installed. The old Cable had kinked and the flap was hard to flip up. New cable fixed issue! Easy as pie now to open and close!
