The GrassFlap® brand chute blocker is the ideal OCDC, operator controlled discharge chute. The foot-operation allows the user to close the discharge chute at any time, any place without taking their hands off the mower€™s controls. The chute blocker plate opens a full 180 degrees and completely clears the edge of the mower to allow the mower to fit in those tight spaces. The GrassFlap® chute blocker fits most zero-turn mowers.

The 5L Pedal has the cable exit the pedal parallel to mounting surface and has an L shaped base for mounting.
Installation
Assembly is required. Modification to blocker plate size and shape may be required for best fit on some mowers.
I like it very much. I had to add a bumper stop to keep the flap from hitting the fender. The cable going to the flap restricts the deck from going all the way up. I just try not to raise the deck all the way. A slightly lower angle on the cable bracket would be helpful. Other than that, it was an easy install and no adjustments needed. It's the best one on the market by far.

It was pretty easy to in install. It works ok. getting the spring tension correct took a little while.
It does ok but still get a lot of clippings that blow out around the plate,
To me it's overpriced for what it does.

Foot pedal location
Just installed on a Hustler Raptor XD. The flap bolted on perfect. Super easy install for the flap. The foot pedal was very easy to assemble. I did have to drill holes to mount it where I wanted to mount it and grind on the pulley cover to run the cable. I had zero adjustments on the spring to make everything work properly. Mower only one yard so far but it did exactly what I hoped.

Don't hesitate to buy this……I have mowed with this Grass flap for about 30 hours. I mow a 3/4 acre lot in the city with landscaping and obstacles, and 3-4 acres at a second property. The flap works great when trying to keep grass out of the landscape and hard scape areas. When mowing large areas, just open it and let the mower eat! It does work as a light duty mulching block off. But it will open by itself, with too much pressure, from debris pushing against the flap. The Grass flap can be left on the mower while using a bagger attachment. Very Happy with this product, already recommended to family and friends!
I ordered the grassflap for my 2022 42'' hustler raptor XD and I love it so far! Only thing I didn't like about the installation was adjusting the spring tension for the flap opening and closing spring. It was a little frustrating and tedious. But other than that it's been great so far!
This is the second GrassFlap I have purchased. After having one on my old mower, I knew it was a necessity on the new Hustler Raptor XD. This product works flawlessly and prevents having to do a lot of cleanup when you're done mowing. Definitely recommend.
Easy installation, great people to work with. Have not used the grass flap yet however I see no reason it should not work as advertised.
This is the best addition to my mower I could have picked. It has reduced the amount of clippings going into areas I don’t want and has reduced the time I use the blower.
The grassflap is made from good quality materials but for the amount of money that you pay for it I was disappointed by the amount of assembly that was required. I purchased a unit that was supposed to be made for my specific brand of zero turn but found that the pedal unit didn’t fit properly without some modifications. I contacted support and was forwarded a video on operation of the opening and closing of the unit with no inquiry of what I had a problem with. The unit operates but you have to learn the trick in how it works. I purchased the product because of the pedal control over the competitions lever control even though the grassflap’s price was almost 4 times the cost. After this purchase I would have been better off saving the $300 difference and purchased the lever unit.
The product itself works great! - once installed. The foot pedal works great! "No-Drill" is a bit deceptive as this is only for the flap angle mount, as you need to drill to mount the foot pedal. The price is expensive at $400 yet the product works well, but for $400 you shouldn't have to cut the actual flap to size it should come custom cut to the mower for which it was ordered.

Works great for functionality but doesn't fit great on my mower. Leaves a good size gap all around.
Works absolutely flawlessly, have mowed twice with it now and I would definitely recommend!
