The hand lever is so much better than the foot pedal. I like how you can leave the flap in a slightly open position. Also, it’s so much easier to use. I like how it’s right by your hands. It does take getting used to but after a few tries it’s way better. Highly recommend to anyone!

Grass flap works great. Not a fan of how high it sits so I made my own bracket holes. Great product

I put it on a John Deere Q820M 48” Stand on Mower. The handle instructions were a waste of paper to send with the grass flap. When the flap is closed the grass blows through a good sized hole right in your face. If they didnt have a restocking fee I would return it. Im gonna have to buy some flat rubber to seal off the hole and on the grass flap to try keep the grass contained in the deck. Now I believe that this is an universal grass flap it may be better on different mowers.

Put this on my new john deere q850r it works great.

Grass flap for my John Deere 850R is great!! I did get it with the hand lever. If you have the John Deere stand-on you will need 2 inch bolts to make lever plate work. The stock ones on the unit will not be long enough. You will also need couple spacer to make it sit even. Other than that it is great!!

It was extremely easy to install and operate. The Actual function of the flap is awesome and works extremely well.

Fit was great easy install just wished the handle cable was about 8 to 10 inches longer after tying it up it’s kind of tight

I just had it installed, it seems it only took a few minutes to find the balance point,kinda pull the lever let go. I had a Exmark ocm flap it worked well JD don't make one so I hope this holds up. Looks durable

Easy installation if you have a little common sense. Once installed doing adjustment was necessary to allow the flap to perform efficiently.

Flap works good, I like how it has perforations in the metal so you can shape it to fit the chute opening snug.

My only two complaints are the flap control lever is kind of high and extrusive on the machine. For example; when going through tight areas, I've had shrub and tree branches grab the lever, causing some occasions where the flap will hit fences or posts and knock the flap out of alignment (swivels 30 degrees).

Which brings me to my next complaint, the hardware all seems to be grade 3. I assume it is all stainless steel, but I think grade 3 is it a little weak to be exposed to constant vibration and use.

Otherwise a very useful and durable product so far!
