The GrassFlap® brand chute blocker is the ideal OCDC, operator controlled discharge chute. The foot-operation allows the user to close the discharge chute at any time, any place without taking their hands off the mower€™s controls. The chute blocker plate opens a full 180 degrees and completely clears the edge of the mower to allow the mower to fit in those tight spaces. The GrassFlap® brand chute blocker fits most zero-turn mowers.

What's Included
The kit includes everything needed to install and operate the GrassFlap„¢ brand chute blocker.
This includes:
- All steel flap assembly to mount to discharge opening
- 5L pedal (10-99-41)
- 50" cable (10-99-08)
- Deck No-Drill Mount for Ferris mower with iCD deck (11-82-12)
- Mounting hardware for installation
The 5L Pedal has the cable exit the pedal parallel to mounting surface and has an L shaped base for mounting.
Installation
Assembly is required, including drilling holes in the operator foot deck to install pedal. Bending of steel blocker plate for best fit is required.
NOTE: Video shows installation on stand on. Installation at discharge opening is the same.
So far I love it! Fairly simple install. Only thing the instructions forgot was to explain how the pedal makes the flap come up and stay up. But a quick YouTube search helped me with that. But this is WAY nicer then having to throw a lever
Great product! The blocker plate on the unit I ordered came with a metal one with pre-cut bend lines which was a huge plus. Assembly was fairly straightforward following the written instructions provided. Noticed a couple of typos and areas that I thought could use clarification but nothing that resulted in any major issues. The operation of the system does take some practice but is easy once you get it. The available videos also help with assembly and understanding the proper use of the foot pedal. I would definitely recommend the GrassFlap to others.
It is a little time consuming trying to get the cable adjusted just right so that the flap will come all the way up. Other than that it was knot bad to assemble. Works good.
This grass flap is fantastic. Works great. Now I won't blow grass all over .you mulch beds. Great product support as well.

Grass still comes out even though I have it sealed as tight as possible
This is a good product, no doubt. It took me longer than it should have to install. Most of that is on me. Because the model I bought can be used on different machines, the illustrations were not quite as helpful as I would have liked. Once installed, I didn't need to tweak the spring or the pedal. It works great! I would recommend it for sure.
Best chute blocker on the market
Easy to install. works as advertised. interested to see if it helps to mulch leaves this autumn.
Traps too much grass under the mowing deck..
Have used this three times now and so far I love it. Install took about an hr. Been putting this off for a few years now but glad I finally made the purchase.
WORKED OUT JUST AS ADVERTISED.
Works great on Ferris. Saves flower beds and stops you from spraying grass on houses and cars. Definitely a necessary item for commercial use. I think the hands-free option is superior, I love the pedal.

I'm very happy with the grassFlap chute blocker. Nice heavy guage steel. The Instruction were simple to follow and bending the flap to fit my opening was a breeze. After a simple cable adjustment It functions perfectly. I'm kicking myself for not buying it years ago. Thank you for a GREAT AMERICAN MADE PRODUCT. We need more companies like yours in this country.
Amazing product. This is exactly what I was looking for, the ease of using the foot pedal to open and close the chute is the only way to go.
It’s a great idea. However, I feel that some of the execution needs to be addressed:
1. Nowhere in the instructions are there steps to adjust the cable. You’re just given a Q-code (that I didn’t even notice) to view a YouTube video. The video does explain the process and it does work.
2. The [****] Deflector Angle is just too short for the Ferris ISX2200. I have it adjusted as best I could per the videos. However, in “real world cutting”, closing the door still has grass and dust flying all over it. The deflector is just too short to block it all properly.
3. In cutting on the Ferris ISX2200, when the door is closed, it will not close completely if the blades are running. It closes completely if the blades are not running and the PTO switch is off. However, with the blades running, the force of the grass and air generated by the blades overwhelms the flap tension spring and forces the flap to open slightly (on my mower about 1/2 inch or a little more).
I’m sure that these are minor and hopefully adjustments can be made. Overall, a heavy duty product with good support.
Easy install and works great. Takes a little practice to flip flap up. No problem once you are use to it.

There is still snow on ground so can't try it in the yard but easy to install looks good quality will give 5 stars when I get to use it in the field
