41P70-5L GrassFlap® brand chute blocker with 5L Pedal

I’ve had a grass flap on the last 3 mowers I’ve had, and love them for mowing the cemeteries I mow. Keeps all the grass off the stones so I don’t have to go back and blow them off. Also for mowing at home it keeps the grass out of landscaping and other areas you don’t want grass. Easy to install, I’ve never had any problems with them. Ordering was easy and shipping was fast, received my last one in 3 days after ordering. Would recommend grassflap over other chute blockers. On a zero turn using your foot to operate the blocker is a whole lot easier than using your hand to open and close it. Great product!!!

Install was easy so was the adjustment. Took about five try's to figure out exactly what foot action and pressure was needed to have it operate correctly.

Install per instruction, worked as advertised. Minor drilling to enlarge pedal bolts holes.

Works great watched install video a couple times to make sure I was doing everything right

After looking at other designs, I chose the GrassFlap because of the foot pedal. A hand lever would get caught on trees and brush I mow around. I have only a few hours on it so far but can say it works better than expected. The foot lever easily opens and closes the flap and I can keep both hands steering. Installation was easy on my Cub Cadet Pro Z 560S.

I purchased the 41P70-5L Low profile Heavy Duty Grass Flap for my Simplicity Citation XL (Ferris) zero turn mower. Installation was easy, taking only a few hours to install and tune. Only one regret, I wish I had discovered this sooner!

Very well engineered product haven't used it yet it's winter .all set for spring.thank you David for answering a load of questions and your advice on set up couldn't be happier.the main reason why I installed this I had a previous chute shoot blocker that was doing a number on my right shoulder,this unit will take care of that issue and it has nice clean look like it cam from factory like this .

Only used once since install, worked great and easy install! Customer service was OFF THE HOOK! Would recommend.

I put the Grass Flap on my Bad Boy ZT Elite. Took a little while to figure out where to mount everything, but once I was done it works great. Depending on your deck height it will blow some grass out, but all in all it stops 90% of the clippings. I love it so far.

I installed this myself on my Spartan rt-hd. Fairly easy. I had to modify two spacers for the no drill mount to work. After that it was a piece of cake to install. Only had to drill two holes for the pedal. This thing works great. Cut my yard and put the flap down to mulch the excess grass after. No spots with dead grass laying all around. Great product

Easy to operate. Works great around flower beds keeping most of the grass out.

I installed the GrassFlap on a Kubota ZD25. The instructions were clear and the install was easy. The hardest part was deciding exact locations of cable routing and pedal placement prior to drilling the holes. The GrassFlap works even better than expected. I only mow my own property and found myself using the flap in far more situations than I anticipated. Beyond the obvious use next to a building or gardens, I found it worked great to keep the grass out of the air when turning around at the end of a strip. When the flap is at the mid-point it keeps the grass from blowing quite as far but still keeping it from creating a windrow. Overall I am very impressed and happy with the purchase.

Very easy mounting and works great. You don't miss a beat while cutting and very easy to learn to close it and open when you are just zipping along cutting.

While I really wanted to give this a 5 star rating, unfortunately, it falls a little short. The mechanism used for the flat is great and certainly well thought out. When I ordered the flap for my 2014 61" Scag Wildcat, they did not mention anything about to bolt of bracket which would have definitely came in handy. The real main issue I have with it is the main plastic flap. The directions (not that I could find anyways) did not mention how far below the deck it should go. Because I mounted it directly to the mower deck (bolt of kit would have mounted in same holes as the stock rubber grass discharge flap), the flat was a couple of inches below the deck. The other issues with the flap itself was having to manipulate it around the rear curved edge while having the turbo baffle. The bolt securing the turbo baffle interferes with the flap, not allowing for a tight closure when flap is down. I think my issues are what is causing grass to leak out the front of the flap more than I would like. I do enjoy having this product, I just wish there was better fitment. I would highly recommend this item for you mower, just do a little more research seeing if others with your mower have had any issues.

Love the product works very smooth and well… My only complaint is putting it all together… some of the steps seem out of order as far as bending the shoot blocker is one of the last things when really it’s much easier to do when it’s not already bolted to your unit plus in addition was pretty involved in order to get it all lined up right I wish it was a little more “plug & Play” as far as getting it attached to your mower, but as far as the quality of the product and operation, it’s five star!
