The GrassFlap® brand chute blocker is the ideal OCDC, operator controlled discharge chute. The foot-operation allows the user to close the discharge chute at any time, any place without taking their hands off the mower€™s controls. The chute blocker plate opens a full 180 degrees and completely clears the edge of the mower to allow the mower to fit in those tight spaces.

The 5L pedal has the cable exit the pedal parallel to mounting surface.

Direct bolt to existing holes on deck and foot platform - no drilling required.
I recently purchased the GrassFlap (44S2M50-5L-A1) with the steel blocker plate for my 2025 Scag Liberty Z 48" mower. Installation was simple. I did watch some of the helpful installation videos listed on the website under the 'Support' column before receiving my GrassFlap. I have already mowed several times with the new GrassFlap installed, and I am very pleased with the function and quality of this product. With a quick tap on the pedal to close the discharge chute off, I can now avoid blowing grass clippings into landscape beds, sidewalk, driveway and anywhere else I don't want the clippings to go. It is very convenient to have the foot pedal control allowing me to keep both hands on the control levers of the mower. I highly recommend the GrassFlap if you are considering purchasing a chute blocker.
Installation was easy with the no drill bracket. Cable routing was a bit of a challenge but I managed to get it done. System works great so far as I have been using it to mulch leaves.
It was easy to mount using the no drill bracket. I did have to drill a small hole to hold the cable off of the deck but that was minor. Been using it to mulch leaves and so far it has worked great.
Looks great easy to install haven't used it yet but I am ready to go no more grass in the pool or flower beds

The cable had a hard time coming through the holes in my scag liberty, I didnt drill nee ones. But the cable had already worn down to the metal after one use from vibrating. First the foot pedal didnt wanna work it would get it half up and never come up like it had to work it out a but. I much rather would have a hand lever to make it easier. Install was easy. Company followed up with me. Outstanding customer service. We have resolved the hiccup and prepared for future. Very pleased

Scag Liberty 42. Installed mulching blades and the Grass Flap. The Grass Flap works as designed. Open when possible close when needed. The foot operated flap as awesome. Operation is very simple and easy. The quality of the Flap and hardware is very impressive. This setup should last for years without any issues.
