Just installed the grass flap on my Scag 48” Freedom Z. Very easy to installed especially with the No Drill Mounting bracket. I had one question which A quick phone call to David was able to finish installation. Recommend to anyone thinking of a chute blocker to purchase

Not bad install took a couple hours

The 3m taped deflection piece is junk if installed how they require it causes alignment issues I trashed it an riveted an aluminum one to the flap works perfectly

The cable could be 12” longer to allow more mounting locations so it does not interfere with the belt the cable clips could be metal instead of plastic that will fall apart over time an let the cable fall into the rotating belts

Enjoy mounting the sel pedal no room for fingers to put the nut on the Scag foot rest I used a magnet an impact it was a pain but worked

I don't like the fact we have to trim an cut our flaps to fit a formed precut flap must be expensive to manufacture for each deck I guess I did not cut mine just rounded the corners with a grinder to avoid leg cuts

As for the operation of the flap it's the easiest to use I give an a++

Will test more over the winter I'm happy with the purchase

I ordered this for my SCAG Liberty Z 52” deck. I've only had it on for a short period of time but I absolutely love it! Simple install, very thorough instructions and great customer service to back it up. If you don't have one, you need to get one. You will love it. Thanks Grassflap for making a great mower better!!!

Don't know why I waited so long to get this!
Install went smooth and the instructions were clear. Gonna take a few times to get the feel for operating it but, so far I am impressed and pleased!

Love my GrassFlap I want a chute blocker but I didn't want one with a handle that I had to let go of the controls to operate! It was super easy to install and works great!!

The grassflap was easy to install on the scag . Adjustment of foot petal and cable also very easy. And works as described . Have used it and works great very satisfied.

This grass flap Is much easier and more convenient to operate than the most others that has a lever which is difficult to operate on a Zero turn. Is would highly recommend anyone to purchase this and I would definitely refuse and I would definitely refer anyone who wants on who wants one to get 1

install was fairly easy. i had a bit of a challenge bending the flap to conform to my scar deck. i also spent a fair amount of time adjusting the cable so the unit would open and close correctly. once installed the thing works fairly well and i especially like the ease of opening and closing via the foot pedal rather than an arm that i would have to manipulate each time. i bought this primarily because of all my landscape beds and was tired of blowing the grass out of the beds and along with the grass a fair amount of mulch. yes it works as advertised but because i mow so high i do get some grass that comes out around the bottom of the deck but i'm thinking about adding a flexible rubber piece to the bottom to help with that.

Product works good.solid quality and overall works great. The adjustment it came with in the box appears to be working good and didn't need much work. I put it on a 2022 TT2 and has some issues getting the pedal to fit and still be able to access the middle foot plate. Ended up calling the company and they gave me the direction to depress the foot-petal and the plate will open. That worked and I am very happy with the product. I would recommend it to anyone!

Fantastic product!! Installed in about 40mins only had to refer to the install iinstructions for the cable adjustment. No more advance chute or powerchutes for me, GRASSFLAP is the clear WINNER!

This grass flap was for a scag turf tiger.

I purchased a new Scag Freedom Z last year for my own lawn. That deck has a minor blowout issue. There are 30 very large Cottonwood trees on the back of my property. I have to deal with lots of leaves. I had always bagged them but was getting so tired of them. I put a blowout baffle on the deck. That eliminated the blowout, Then I added the Grassflap and installed mulching blades. The Grassflap fits securely and tightly to block the output chute of the deck. It blocks things so well the now that I can mulch up the leaves in one pass. I get a slight trail of mulched leaves at the outside of the deck. I just overlap the next pass about 6 inches, and that is eliminated. My yard looks better after one pass in those heavy leaves than it did when I was bagging. The Grassflap does a wonderful job. I love the foot pedal operation. You don't need to let go of the steering levers to open or close it. Even with it closed it doesn't leave a lot of grass behind. Perfect when mowing in between landscape beds. It keeps the grass in the yard and the beds clean, all the while keeping the perfect lines around curves since you don't have to let go of the levers. I love, love, love the Grassflap. I wouldn't consider anything else. The dealer was extremely helpful. I have a couple of questions, I e-mailed the questions. Shortly after I received a call explaining everything. I ordered it, and it arrived in a timely fashion. The installation went well with no surprises. I can't say enough good things about the product or the company. Definitely a model all companies should follow. They definitely earned the five star rating.

It is an amazing product and it is easy to use but the cable could be longer to fit a 61 inch mower better

The Grassflap does work as described. It works really great but is a bit pricey. I did ask if there were any discounts before I bought, but was told no. I do think that Grassflap is a bit pricey, but I bought it anyway. I like the foot pedal better than a lever which I think could hang on something and get broken off. Thanks for a great product but you could charge less and probably sell more. Thanks Rick

I purchased a Grass Flap after reviewing the common chute blockers out there. I liked the idea of a foot pedal operation. Installation was not difficult although not real quick. The hardest was finding the best route for the cable and mounting the foot pedal. I wanted to stay with the no-drill theme so I just couldn't make myself drill holes in my new Scag Freedom Z. I have used it twice now. I love how it works You still get a little blowout under it when it is closed, but it is minimal. The clippings have to go somewhere and they stay in the deck much better than I anticipated they would. Today was the first usage with a significant covering of leaves on the lawn.I have 30 very large cottonwood trees lining the back of my property. When they start dropping leaves, I get a lot of leaves. My previous mower had a bagging system. Having to get rid of a bunch of leaves every week was a pain. The new mower with Gator blades and the Grass Flap the leaves pretty much disappear. I am still learning the best technique. Today I started at the upwind side of the yard and opened the shoot when it would discharge with the wind. Then on the return path I would close the chute. It left a light train of finely chopped leaves near the chute blocker, but really not objectionable. When I got the the end of the yard I kept the chute closed so not to blow leaves in the neighbor's yard. I made on extra pass at the end and the leaves were gone. I am very happy with the Grass Flap. it is doing exactly what I was hoping for. It is so easy to operate with the foot pedal. I absolutely love it. I was dreading the leaves again this year. Now I think I might enjoy taking care of the leaves. I think it actually looks better that previous years that I was bagging them. Thank you Grass Flap for a very fine product.

Install took about 2.5 hours (although I did take a couple of short breaks) and was fairly straightforward. I installed the cable AS DIRECTED in the instructions and no further cable adjustment was required. Looks like it should do the job as expected but I have not had an opportunity to use it yet. Seems to be worth the money and I would buy again at this point.

Have not completed install yet but it looks heavy duty. I used my neighbor's zero turn with the Grass Flap and liked it so much I bought one.

The instructions were fairly clear but I needed to watch some videos on Youtube from various sources (some from Grassflap; others private Youtubers). It took me about 2 hours to complete installation. I purchased the no drill option as I didn't want to drill holes in my brand new Scag Patriot 61. I have mowed with the Grassflap one time since installing and determined this will be a good time saver for me as the deck will now fit in tighter spaces compared to the factory deflector and I can keep the grass out of my mulch beds. I will probably need to fine-tune the blocker plate to keep more grass from coming out. Overall satisfied with my purchase.

Think I'm going to love it! I live in Michigan so haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Great Product and customer service, easy installation. Pedal mount makes it easy to have full open, full closed, and everything in between.
